So I try to do atleast a load of laundry a day because it always creeps up to a HUGE pile by Friday but doing laundry with three little ones always comes with a price.... this day it came at the cost of a bath...you wanna know why?? Oh because a certain 2 year old boy emptied an entire tube of diaper cream on these two cuties heads...they all had a good time! Nolan was laughing as it was dripping down his face! Although I did learn how much they all 3 enjoy baths..so next time their super fussy, into the bath we go!

Zoo Time!

We have had a little change of heart about the zoo...instead of talking non-stop about riding the choo-choo he has officially started talking non-stop about riding the horses!! Why might you ask? Oh because he gets to wear a helmet :) Typical boy

SuperBowl!

I had a super bowl party at our house last weekend and we had alot of fun! It was a little different this year, we weren't able to really watch the commercials (the only reason why I watch the superbowl..well that and the halftime show) because the kids were running around screaming, but it was fun catching up with friends! I think Madonna's halftime show was a hit with the kids! They danced their little hearts out!

Being a mom

I know I haven't posted in a while, but we have been so busy around this house that I just haven't had a chance to sit down and put pictures up and share about our life right now... but a picture of my last few days would be a picture of our "time-out" chair (the highchair) and a wooden spoon (the spanking spoon) I always feel like Ryder is so different and no one his age acts like he does. Everytime I pick him up from church, or the gym's daycare he's running around like a mad man while everyone else is sitting at a table coloring, or while the kids are ever so delicately playing with play dough and cutting out shapes Ryder has the biggest mouthful you have ever seen in your life. He has a mind of his own and does whatever he wants regardless the consequence. If I could have thrown in the towel at 4:00 today I would of, but thankfully I love that wild child with all my heart... I finally got about a 10 minute break to check blogs, and I happend to come across this post... WOW just what I needed to read, I feel like somehow we have the same kid! Thank you Lord for letting me see this today!! You and I both know I needed to read this today..maybe everyday..yes I think I will read this everyday!

Week with Riley!

Riley was down for a whole week, and we had alot of fun with her! She spent the night one night and Ryder was just having a blast! He is still asking for baby Riley!.. I had to take her to build a bear to let her and Ryder pick out animals and they both had a blast! Riley's has a special sound when you squeeze the bears hand it is Ryders voice saying, "Wove you baby wiley" its PRECIOUS! and of course I took some super cute pictures!!

Getting Back into the Groove!

So YES I know its been almost a month since I posted ... I can't believe it, but it's been pretty busy around here with the holidays and all, and were finally getting back into the groove again.. This is what has been going on around here...

On Christmas Eve, we headed over to Meme and Pa's for a family dinner, and then we all went caroling on the school bus and looked at lights.. it was alot of fun and Ryder was in heaven. He did fall asleep about 30 minutes into it, but we all had a good time!.. Our Christmas "morning" started REALLY early, Ryder woke up SCREAMING at 1:30 and we couldn't get him to stop, after a good hour of trying to calm him down, we just decided to go ahead and let him open presents.. ( turned out he had an ear infection)

This was the night before, when we were setting everything up...

The train table turned out FABULOUS! My grandpa built the table and then Tanner and I made the top, it is EXACTLY what I wanted!

Eric and I always open our presents on Christmas Eve, and Eric had a VERY good Christmas if I do say so myself, ... my Christmas was HUGE and I'll have to do a post of that coming up soon!! :)

He about fell on the floor he couldn't BELIEVE he got a train table!

This was around 4am and he was getting tired and SO WERE WE!

We finally got back to sleep at 4am and quickly woke back up at 7:30 to head to the Grove Park Inn to have lunch with everyone! The Grove Park was alot of fun and we saw a ton of fabulous ginger bread houses, ice sculptures, and HUGE Christmas trees! The food was really good too, my favorite was a chicken pot pie

AND the best thing of all was Santa Claus was there! I thought Ryder would be really scared, but I think after getting all of those great presents he had a change of heart! He went right to Santa and told him all about his choo choo train that he gave him. He kept saying "kank you santa, kank you!" it was soo cute!

We weren't even out of the parking garage before Ryder was asleep.. although it did take a good 30 minutes to get OUT of the parking garage!! Thats a whole seperate story!

Ryder has been saying and doing the funniest things.. half the time its when he's been bad and Eric and I just have to hold back our laughter which is rather hard at times!

*Ryder has been playing "Knock Knock, I say who's there? and he says POPS!" then he goes Knock Knock, and I say, who's there? and he says POPS!" then he goes Knock Knock, and I say, who's there? and he says POPS!" (get the picture?!? its an all day every day kind of getting old thing!)

*Anytime he does something bad and I am not right there, I will hear him (wherever he is in the house) OH GOSH WYDER!!! BIG SPANKIN!! its such a funny moment but yet a full of anxiety moment at what in the world did he do this time..

*He's starting to act like the phone is a camera to whoever is on the other side, anytime he talks to someone on the phone he'll turn it around to whatever he is talking about and say "look" like that person can see it

*He has been doing his "happy feet" dance like CRAZY! I'll have to post a video of it soon, but if this child doesn't grow up to be a break dancer I will be VERY surprised!
*He always says, Mommy, where's daddy? He at work? He goin potty? Mommy WHERE'S DADDY!

*He likes to squeeze himself in between the coffee table and the couch and put his legs up on the table, and his arms on the couch so he's kind of just hanging in the middle.. its soo funny.. and half the time he ends up getting stuck and yelling MOMMY WYDER STUCK!

*His favorite movies right now are: "Acoon"(Ice Age, he thinks the squirrel is a Racoon), Buzz Whiteyear (Toy Story Buzz Lightyear), Nemo, and George (Curious George)

*He LOVES To count, most of the time he starts at 3 and can count to 18 and backwards from 10

And as I am typing this he is peeing all over the floor.. Oh the joys of having a 2 year old.. that's enough for today I believe..Oh dear Jesus give me patience today!

Christmas Makeover... HOPEFULLY!

I had a hard time deciding what I want for Christmas this year, like I've said in the past, if there is something out there that I really want I get it. I never wait until Christmas to ask for a long list of things, I guess I am just a little impatient and like to get things as I want them. Well... that was until I got an idea... I decided for Christmas this year I want to revamp our living room and kitchen. Eric and I went to lowes last night to price things we will need and it looks like with ~~both of us~~ Eric doing all the work we will be able to save alot of money and get it done!! I am beyond excited! We are going to start by painting.. ALOT the ceiling, and all the walls from the hallway to the living room to the kitchen will be one color, then we are doing a little building project (my grandpa is going to help me but he doesn't know that yet) and some crown molding to top it off. (AND of course a shopping trip to get accesories! :) ) Here are some of our ideas...

I LOVE these blues.. I want it to be a subtle color, but definetly show up!

I found this sofa table on Pinterest and she had everything laid out which boards to buy, and a tutorial on how to make it! Eric and I went to Lowe's to price it and its only going to cost $60!!

I just absolutely am having an episode over this picture frame! If my grandpa can make this for me I will be the happiest girl in the world!! This would look FAB over my new sofa table above! (dont you agree?)

We are going to make 2 of these for the living room and the same lady who had the tutorial on the sofa table, had one on these.. they are going to cost around $30 a piece.. (still WAY cheaper than buying!)

So I have some convincing to do on this fireplace with Eric, BUT it only cost them $82 to re-do there fireplace! They had an all brick one just like mine, and it looks gorgious! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE! (they also had an EASY tutorial on how to do this)

IF my grandpa can't make that to die for picture frame, I am leaning towards doing a pretty collage above the sofa table.. I LOVE these ideas!!

as you see I have alot of planning going on... and alot of things to be done! I have 2 weeks off to get everything finished and I am going to be working like a mad women but I think it will pay off! Actually I KNOW it will pay off! :)

Ho-Ho and his elves...

Last night I went to Cracker Barrell with my mom and Meme. While we were waiting for our food my mom looked over and saw that there was a man who looked like Santa Clause. He wasn't dressed like Santa but he had a big white beard and a big ole' belly. Well my mom told Ryder that Ho-Ho was there and you would have thought he was going to be killed. He was TERRIFIED! The man kept waving at Ryder and other kids were even going up to man and he was talking to them and giving them candy and a little card. WELL, we tried and tried to get him to go see Santa and get him some candy, but he just wasn't having it.. So eventually when Santa was leaving he came over to the table to see Ryder and he was yelling NO! NO! NO! and Santa said I have some candy for you and Ryder was dead silent. He took the candy, and then Santa said, Can I have a high five? And Ryder stuck out his finger and touched him and then snatched it back! It was hilarious everyone eating around us died laughing. It was quite the experience for us all!

On another note...I was running really late this morning for church because I was suppose to bring our Sunday school class breakfast, and Eric was on call so I wasn't able to do anything with Pie this morning. BUT as soon as we came home, Ryder went looking for him and found this....

He had gotten into Ryder's "Prize Box"(when he goes Poop on the potty) and ate a peice of CANDY!

Ryder said, "Mommy Pie make a BIG Mess and he needs a WIPE!" I said YES HE DOES! :)

Ryder must have made some good choices yesterday because when we woke up this morning Pie (our elf) was IN Ryder's stocking!! AND guess what Santa gave Pie to give Ryder.....!!

CANDY!! This little boy is SOO excited!! He gave Pie a kiss and said "ANK YOU!" This is so much fun! I am glad I did it this year, because I was contemplating waiting, because I didn't know if he was too young.

Elf On The Shelf

So Santa sent us a little surprise yesterday.. Meet "Pie" our elf that came to keep an eye on Ryder for Santa.... (Ryder named him by the way, I have NO idea why he wanted to name him Pie but he did so it is, what it is)

Everyday the elf can do something naughty or nice.. this morning when Ryder woke up, he went looking for Pie and this is what he found, ...

He said, "OH MY GOSH! Pie was WERY BAD!.. MOMMA PIE MAKE BIG MESS!" He was VERY concerned! It was so fun to see his reaction and I think he is going to really get into this tradition.. on Christmas eve Pie will fly back to the North Pole and let Santa know if Ryder has been naughty or nice... Maybe this will even help him to behave! (probably not, but wishful thinking right? :) )

Riley's Birthday Bash!

Saturday we had Riley's birthday party and it was so much fun! I had bought her birthday outfit and she looked SOO cute, although it only lasted about 10 minutes on her! Ha! But I'm sure she will get future use out of the shirt, and HOPEFULLY the tutu :)

While Riley was eating HER cake, we started passing out the big cake... it only took a few minutes for me to notice that Nana's lips were turning black. I told Jessi and I thought we were going to pee in our pants, no one had caught on yet, so I told Nana to smile.. SEE BELOW :)

By this time everyone was dying laughing, but poor Pa still had no idea why I was telling him to smile! :)

We ended up leaving from Jessi's house and got in right after midnight. It was a good choice because there was hardly any traffic and Ryder slept the whole way! It was SUCH a fun trip!!

Thanksgiving TN Day 4:

Saturday we headed over to Jessi's house to help her set up for Riley's birthday party and we had planned on getting some pictures of the kids. I never realized how hard it would be to get 2 kids to smile for the camera and cooperate! ha! It sure was a task! But the pictures turned out so cute even if there not all smiling perfectly at the camera!

Friday was mostly a recooperating day although I only slept about 3 hours off and on so we were all tired! We went out later that afternoon to do a little bit more shopping and we really just stayed home and played. Eric and all the older boys and Scott went bowling that night around midnight which they said was a blast!

Thursday we got up early and played at the house for a while and of COURSE we started searching through all of our 9 papers that had arrived early that morning... YES 9 PAPERS! One of Sheri's friends delivers papers and brought us plenty so we wouldn't have to fight over coupons! Its always alot of fun mapping our which stores we want to go to, what time they open and figuring out our gameplan. I would like to say I helped cook, but I didn't! :) Here are some fun pictures from our day!!

Thursday morning while we were all eating breakfast, I noticed Ryder had been really quiet so I went looking for him to find this... He had some how found all of Coby's halloween candy and had taken a bite out of almost every peice and then put it beside him! He is SUCH a mess!!

We mapped out our plan and ended up needing to go to 6 stores starting at 8:30pm and ending at 6am.. It was SOO much fun this year, we didn't get anything really big so we didnt have to wait for hours for one item which was nice. We got back home around 7am! Although it's always a little extra hard in TN because we

are one hour ahead so we really stayed out until 8am!

We got some GREAT deals though!!

Thanksgiving TN trip Day 1:

We headed up to TN for Thanksgiving with my family late on Tuesday night and got in right around midnight, but thanks to Central time zone it was only 11 there. We pretty much went straight to bed and woke up early to head over to Jessi's about an hour away to see her and Riley and hang out for a while. Here are some pictures from our fun day!!

Ryder and I went for a walk to her neighbors house with Jessi so she could talk to him for a minute, and next thing I know Ryder crawled under the barb wire fence and was in the pen with the cows and horses!! I about died!! I was half way embarrased and half way scared that he was going to get killed but he survived!

We went out to eat that night at a cute resturaunt in a little town called Bell Buckle, when we were done eating a train came by right outside and the kids loved it!

Weekend FUN!

SO Eric left really early Saturday morning like 3:30 to head to his mom's house to spend time with them and he actually made it in time to go to church with them to see his brother's girlfriend Chelsea get baptized. He was really excited he made it in time! Ryder and I had a good day and went to eat lunch with family and then came home and cleaned and played outside all day! While I was sweeping off the back porch I noticed Ryder had been quiet for a little too long for my comfort so I looked aorund to see this.. I guess if you gotta go, you gotta go!

The whole day I was working on re-arranging and cleaning the house to get ready to start putting Christmas stuff up (YES I put Christmas decorations up BEFORE thanksgiving.. we are always gone on Thanksgiving weekend and I ALWAYS take my CHristmas tree down the day after Christmas so in order to get the full WORTH of the chore of decorating it, I put it up early) I only ended up getting around to putting Ryder's up but it was alot of fun and Ryder LOVES it!

Also on a bright note, yesterday marked my 2 year CANCER free!! Only 3 more years to go before I can say I am "In remission". (5 years is considered remission) Thanking GOD that I am here today and that I haven't had any more "re-occurences"!!

SO I totaly just made up that title, BUT I have had my hands full this morning and having a 2 year old who hasn't listened to 1 thing I have said is making me a little frazzled and on edge and wanting to scream. So before I do, I am going to say that phrase over and over and over and laugh that surely, "this too shall pass" (If it doesn't please don't tell me, I would rather keep going thinking it will!) I just wanted to post about our "poop" situation. I believe I have figured it out. The days he was pooping in his room were the days I was making him "rest" in his room even though he wouldn't nap.... The days he was really tired and went straight to bed it wasn't happening. Well when I was talking to my mom about it, she said, "Well after he does it you make him go back to bed right?" and I said well I can't because theirs no more rooms with the twins each in one and his on lockdown from mopping, clorox, pinesol and any other deadly combination you can think of. So inevitably he's getting out of taking a nap/resting... that explains it! This past week I have just made him lay on the couch and watch a movie and believe it or not its working.. although I am right here to supervise but still no poop.... ALTHOUGH after the morning I've had, I believe I am going to put his pajamas (the zippered footie kind) on backwards and zip him up so he can't get out of them or poop anywhere because I'm going insane... I hope everyone else is having a Fabulous thursday!! And just to get yall by ...

SO if you have been wandering what we have been up to BESIDES halloween fetsivities, below is your answer... we have been having issues with Ryder going to take a nap in his room and taking off his pull up and pooping EVERYWHERE! Last Friday he slipped and fell in it and I went in there to check on him when I heard him crying and found this...

(IF you look by his head you can see the poop on the floor)

When I opened the door he said, "OH GOSH WYDER!" I thought this might be a fluke 1 time thing, because he has been pooping in the BIG boy potty! WOO HOO.. well I was wrong! Today I heard this, MOMMY POOP!!!.. Only to find THIS!

The guys face on the book below sums up how I felt when I opened that door!

How does this even happen?!?! He must have been throwing it everywhere..

And of course he had to put it down the car slide.. I mean why not?!

So tomorrow we are going to try and put his little potty in his room during nap time to encourage him to go on the potty and NOT all over the room because I am TIRED of throwing things away, cleaning the floors, cleaning EVERYTHING! I told Eric after today I was about to stick a for sale sign in the yard and ask for $10 to take it "As is".. I mean seriously this is RIDICULOUS! I could take the "holding" his poop until nap time to go in his pull up..BUT this whole, take my pull up off and fling poop all over my room and myself??? NO!

Trick Or Treat

Monday night we decided to just go to a few houses to trick or treat with Ryder. He hadn't taken a nap all day and we knew he wouldn't last long anyways. We headed over to Paul and Amanda's so he could trick or treat there. They had a whole BAG of candy for him filled with all sorts of goodies he LOVED. Next we headed to the twins house because Marjie had gotten the same costume for Nick! They were sooo cute together and Ryder was in awe of the fact that Nick was dressed like him! Then we headed to Momma Honey's and Pops and played and ate candy for a while and he was nocked out by the time we pulled out of their drive way! It was a fun Halloween but boy am I DONE with festivities for this year!

Trunk or Treat!

Last night we went to our church's Harvest Party and we had a blast! Ryder LOVES to go on the "jumpy jumpy" (bounce houses) and passing out candy. We volunteered with our Sunday school class to pass out candy in 20 minute increments. Ryder just sat there and passed out a few peices and then ate almost his whole bucket of candy while Eric and I were passing the rest out. It was a lot of fun!!

After lunch on Sunday Nana and I went on a hunt for decals to put on Ryder's train table that my grandpa built for him for Christmas.. WELL while we were busy out shopping the boys were busy playing. HOWEVER when we got back Nana decided to have a little fun of her own. Ryder couldn't believe that Nana could ride the tractor too!

Christopher's 1st Birthday Party

Saturday my nephew turned 1 and we headed out to a fun birthday party! The theme was trucks and it was so cute! Ryder had so much fun on the trampoline but he made me a nervous wreck! Thankfully we only had an incident when he ran into a girl and they both got goose eggs but other than that he stayed on it somehow! Christopher was SO cute with his birthday cake and opening presents! We had a blast! :)

See the monkey above? This was the funniest thing, I was looking for Ryder a few minutes later and he had taken that ghost out of the monkeys arm and started putting that fake moss in the monkeys arms that is inside that pot, for the monkey to "eat" I was SO embarassed he had picked all that moss and it was ALL over the floor! He said Mommy monkey eatin!

I think we might need to buy a trampoline.. BUT with a big NET around it!

Trunk Or Treat

Friday night Ryder and I went with Amanda and Paul, and Grandma and Grandpa to trunk or treat at the YMCA. I was a little nervous on how Ryder was going to act around other kids dressed up since he is SO scared of wenches..but he did pretty good and only freaked out a few times.. the kids had alot of fun and the adults did too! While we were waiting for Eric to get off work to meet us for dinner we played at the YMCA's indoor playground its HUGE and the kids LOVED it! Thanks to Grandma Heather for always having her camera handy we got some SUPER cute pictures! :)

Kids Say the Darnest Things..

So Ryder has been saying some funny things and I just want to record them on my blog so I can look back and laugh...

*Eric walked into the kitchen the other night and Ryder said, "Daddy whatcha doin?" Eric just busted out laughing

*Ryder told me yesterday that he was hungry and needed some dinner and I said what kind of dinner and he said a cookie dinner :)

*Everytime we go to the store this is what I hear, "Mommy NO wench, I no like wench, Mommy wench sleepin? Mommy NO wench, Mommy wench night night" A million miles a minute and he doesn't stop until were pulling out of the parking lot (wench is witch)

*From the moment he wakes up until the moment he goes to sleep he'll say, "Mommy I go Nana and Pa's and ride tractor?" and I'll say, " Maybe next weekend" and he'll say "Ok Mommy"
*Yesterday I had my blog up putting pictures on and the "just stay little" song was playing in the background nad he started singing EVERY word! I could not stop laughing.. I guess he hears it alot
*He always says "mommy HOLD YOU! Daddy HOLD YOU" meaning for us to hold him

*Whenever we watch football or go to a game he gets down in a crouching position and says 1, 2, 1, 2 3! GO GO GO and takes off running and then falls to the ground like he's tackling and says OH GOSH!

*Yesterday we were playing outside and he got in his little jeep, and starting driving off and turned to me and said, " Bye MOmmy! I go Nana and Pa's and ride tractor! Bye Mommy" I had to break the news to him that it was going to take him a LONG time to get to Nana and Pa's in that little car.. maybe someday!

4 year Anniversary

Eric surprised me and got off work early, AND had my mom pick up Ryder so we could have a date night! We had soo much fun! We went to the fair and ate, played games, and walked around talking about CRAZY people we saw! We won almost every game that we played so we came home with 4 huge stuffed animals. I told Eric next year were playing games last because my arms were so tired carrying those things around all night. Thanks Momma Honey and Pops for keeping Ryder! He had a blast!

Sunday FUNday

After church on Sunday, Ryder and I (Eric was WRAPPED up in football all day) had a fun afternoon! We made and decorated home made sugar cookies...I wasn't sure how many it would make, but it came out to be over 50!! Needless to say we went to a few houses delivering cookies ha!

I also found on a website how to make "home made lava lamps" It was SOO easy and fun! Ryder LOVED it!

This is all you need:

1 water bottle

vegetable oil

alka seltzer

water

food coloring

You fill the water bottle a little over half full of vegetable oil, and then the rest with water (leaving about an inch of air at the top) Then you drop 10 drops of food coloring into the water and break 1 alka seltzer into 4 pieces. Then drop 1 piece and watch the magic happen! You can keep adding pieces but have to wait until the bubbles stop. (Also this solution lasts over a week)

Summer's Wedding

One of my best friends from middle/high school got married on Saturday! I was a little nervous about taking Ryder by myself to his first wedding ceremony but I was just hoping for the best...well luckily I got to sit in the backrow next to a pile of rocks! :) He just played in the dirt the whole time! It was SOO much fun to see all my old friends and Summer looked so pretty! We stayed a little over 2 hours and just enough time to say hey to the bride and groom before we had to leave (their pictures took FOREVER!) but it was so nice to catch up with old friends.. at one point one of my friends mom's came over and said, "Alisha here you are surrounded by a group of guys all holding beers and your holding a sippy cup" I said yep! That pretty much sums up my life right now! ha! I only got a few pictures because I was chasing my crazy 2 year old around in heels, BUT I'm pretty sure he was everyone's entertainment for the night! :)

SC State Museum

Last year SC got added to a website called Groupon.. you basically get e-mailed everyday of "deals" that are in your area. Well one of the very first ones was a family membership to the SC State Museum for $20. I immediately got it and then thought, I'm sure there isn't anything for Ryder to do, so we never went. Well yesterday it was raining and Eric and Ryder BOTH needed to get out of the house so I told them to go try it.... Well let me just say, ( I can't remember if I have blogged about this yet or not) Ryder is TERRIFIED of ghosts, witches, skeletons ALL of the Halloween decorations that are at Lowes, Walmart, EVERYWHERE... whenever I go grocery shopping either he stays at home with Eric or the ENTIRE time he's latched on to me cutting off my circulation screaming NO WENCH MOMMA NO WENCH (witch)....well Eric said as soon as they started to go in the ENTIRE place was decorated for Halloween..he said there were witches and ghosts hanging from the ceiling and they were everywhere.. I couldn't help but just bust out laughing.. he said he wasn't that bad but he definitely had a few freak out moments... It sounded like they had alot of fun and I begged him to take a few pictures so this is all I got ...

They also brought this picture below home.. He said there was a machine that you could pay to get your picture printed out.. I think its pretty cute! :)

Even though there were witches, ghosts, and goblins I think they had good bonding time!

The only people that has ever watched Ryder are my parents, and Erics sister Amanda and Paul.. Well my mom and I wanted to go shopping for a little while, and Tanner wanted to watch the game so I had the bright idea to get him to keep Ryder while he watched the game at my house! Well Ryder was alive when we got back but my house sure was a wreck!! Ryder had pulled out EVERYTHING from his bedroom INCLUDING his closet of clothes.. I'm sure Tanner was too INTO the game to even notice! Oh well I was able to go out for a while and Ryder must have had fun because he slept from 3-7 that afternoon! HA!

HomeComing AND Alumni Family Day

This weekend was my 5 year reunion at my high school and although there were only 3 of us from my class I still had alot of fun seeing other old friends and watching Ryder have the time of his life.. he EVEN got to ride the tractor with Pops in the parade! He was in heaven! :) Here are some fun pictures

Saturday they had a family fun day and Ryder LOVED it! They had a bounce house, a firetruck, AND a DANGEROUS hayride that my grandfather drove and we almost all died!! SERIOUSLY it was crazy! It was so funny when Ryder went into the bounce house he was the smallest one by far and all the moms were like "Watch out for the baby!" And I was like its ok, he's probably more rough then your kids! And sure enough he was running around that thing like he does it all the time.

He LOVES his cotton candy! :)

Tractors, Hats, and THE MOVIES!

It's only Saturday and Ryder has already had his fair share of tractor riding.. although if you ask him, he would tell you that he needs another ride :) Friday night we ate dinner at Momma Honey's and Pops so he got his first ride there, then on today I took some pictures of Pa's puppies for him and so of course he got another ride...

but we did something even MORE exciting then tractors.. we went to the MOVIES! This was Ryder's 1st movie experience and I think he did really well.. we went to go see the Lion King 3D and although I figured he wouldn't wear the glasses or sit still more than 10 minutes he outdid what I thought! We were there an hour and 20 minutes!! We almost saw the whole movie! He did really good but wasn't too fond of the glasses when we got in the theatre.. he was more interested in the animals and of course the cotton candy! We had a lot of fun and I see A LOT more movies in our future! :)

ON another note. A friend from High School makes ADORABLE crocheted hats and I ordered 2 for Ryder for the winter.. HOW CUTE ARE THESE?!?! I LOVE them and Ryder even asked to take his naps with them! ha! soo sweet

Sunday we went to the neatest zoo/safari place! Ryder LOVED it! They had alot of different animals that Ryder and I had never seen because we don't have them at our zoo here.We even got to ride on a bus and drive through on a "safari" to feed the animals! It was alot of fun and Ryder had a blast! Here are some fun pictures!!

After we left Hollywild he went back to Nana and Pa's..Ryder played some more before Daddy got there to brag about his HUGE fish he caught :) It was a great fun day!

Saturday was a BUSY day, we went to the zoo in the morning and then headed to Mimi's 3rd birthday party!! It was a mardi gras theme and was alot of fun! I think the adults liked dressing up more than the kids! Ha! After we got home we packed up and headed to Nana and Pa's!

Well I knew this post was inevitable.. I am just glad it has taken 2 years before I had to write it... My baby boy got his first staple this afternoon.. This is how it happened:

I was in my bedroom making the bed and Ryder came in all excited and said MOMMA! and I looked and he had found a paci (we only bought 1000 of them so I am surprised he doesn't find them more often) I said EWW YUCKY you don't need a paci your a BIG BOY! and he started laughing and took off running so I started chasing him and we were just laughing and laughing and he threw his head into the couch and I reached around to grab his paci out of his mouth and he flung his head back RIGHT on the corner of the coffee table.. I let out a HUGE gasp and he just looked at me like nothing had happend. I then felt a sigh of relief and said come here Ryder let Mommy see you for a minute, and sure enough he had a good hole in the back of his head. I wasn't sure if it needed stitches because it wasn't wide, it just looked deep to me. It wasn't gushing blood either just kind of oozing out. So I called Eric to go ahead and come home, and our dr. office got us in right away. When I called Eric to see if they had glued it (thats what they do alot these days) he replied, "No they just stapled it" I immediately got teary eyed and said they WHAT?!? and he said they stapled it. He said Ryder didn't even cry, he just said OW! I was so impressed... my little boy is growing up!

By the way... the doctor told Eric there is no way he could pull it out..well we'll just have to see about that, he hasn't stopped pulling at it since he got home about an hour ago.. we have a whole week until it gets pulled out!

Trip to A Fall Festival AND Fair all in ONE day!

Ryder and I made a SURPRISE visit to Nana and Pa's house today. We got there bright and early and nana was in the shower and Pa was MIA. So once nana was ready we headed over to her churchs' fall festival which was HUGE! I was expecting 30 people and it was about 10,000!! Thankfully Pa was driving the golf cart and picking people up who had to park far away, so Ryder was thrilled to be able to ride Pa's "Little tractor". We didn't stay long, but we did listen to some great blue grass music, and Ryder got a few toys at the craft tables.

Then we headed back to the house to wait for Becky to get done with her hair appointment. She met us there and we decided to make a trip to the Fair outside of Henderson ville! BUT on our way we found 3 stranded horses running across the road, after a barricade and a knock at a strangers door (really we just honked because it was SCARY and we didn't want to get shot) ~~we were able to help~~ Becky was able to help coax the horses down the road until the owners showed up.

Ryder had a fabulous time at the Fair! We saw all sorts of animals, played games, sat in a helicopter, fed goats and a camel AND even won a prize!! It was such a fun day and I am pooped!! Sadly my son is STILL going 100 miles an hour.. where does he get it from?!?

I am LOVING this cool weather! It was SOO nice today my dream kind of weather day, looking like a storm but perfect temperature! We played outside tonight after dinner and Ryder chased Grace around for atleast an hour! I hope he's worn out!!

Labor Day Weekend/Potty Training!

So this Labor Day weekend STARTED with Potty Training.. I have been DREADING it but Ryder has been more than ready and has been secretly taking his diaper off somehow under his shorts. Its AMAZING! I mean I have NO idea that he isn't wearing a diaper until he pees all over the floor, SO Saturday I got some pullups and underwear and we haven't looked back since! It has been SOO easy, we still have a ways to go but at home he is completely potty trained besides wearing a pullup to bed! When we go out I ask him if he needs to go and we "try" a few times and its been going great! Last night we went out to eat with my parents and he told me he had to go potty, and low and behold HE WENT POTTY ON OUTBACKS POTTY!! I was just beside myself! It has been a breeze.. we haven't had a poop in the potty yet, just because he always goes during his nap time, so that will just have to come but I am SO excited! I have to say I think the candy reward is the kicker!

Saturday we went to Paul and Amanda's to watch the USC game! Ryder looked soo cute in his Gamecock Jersey! I couldn't get a good picture so this is all I have! We had a great time and WE WON! Great night

My mom hosted a cookout this weekend with a bunch of family, and sadly I don't have any pictures but it was lots of fun, I woke up Monday to the stomach bug and it was awful! Boy was I glad Eric was off and able to watch Ryder for me!

God Time

When we dedicated Ryder at church over a year and a half ago, they gave each family a "Pray, Play and Learn" Bible. It's really neat, it has Bible stories and then a few pages on activities to do with your kids, songs to sing, and even crafts or field trips to take to help them understand each story. Well it has always been to old for Ryder and I just pulled it out at the beginning of the week and have been reading it to Ryder at night before bed time.. Well he LOVES it! Today I went in to put him down for a nap and he brought me his Bible book and said, "Mommy I want God time" (thats what I call it at night) How precious is that? Melts this mommys heart!

GOODBYE paci! & Pauls Bday!

Ryder hasn't had his paci since his second birthday! He asks for it every now and then but I just remind him that its "broken". I cut the nipple off of the two I had and that was that... WELL this morning he found one under his bed and said,"MOMMY PAPS!!" I said, "Eww Yucky! You better throw it away" and he said, "OK!" and put that thing in the trash! HALLELUJAH!

Paul always gets left out for his birthday because of COURSE Ryder steals the show :).. But Sunday night we threw him a little paryt at my house with all of our "leftover" party supplies! :) INCLUDING the cake! ha! I just wiped off Ryder :) I couldn't find any of the candles though and all I had were toothpicks! So in case you were wandering if toothpicks light easy.. THEY DON'T!

Here are some pictures from our time outside yesterday..which was most of the day.. I dont' know what has come over me because if you know me you know I HATE to be outside and I HATE to sweat! WELL I have been staying outside AND sweating all for the love of these boys.. if it makes them happy I've learned it makes me happy!

Last night I went to Tanners 1st football game on JV. I didn't really watch it because I was too busy running up and down the bleachers chasing a certain 2 year old MANIAC..but I did get some pictures.. they ended up losing in the last couple minutes of the game, but while I was running around I did hear over the loud speaker, "That was Tanner Cornwell number 67 on the tackle" So I guess he played good! :)

After they dumped their ice buckets out he LOVED Playing in it!

Now that Ryder is 2 I won't be doing monthly updates but I WILL be posting when he does things and stats at doctors appointments ect. ANYWAYS.. before I forget to I wanted to post your 2 year check up numbers

Tonight we had my parents over and Amanda and Paul for some cupcakes and ice cream...My parents got Ryder a drum set just like Uncle Tanners and you would have thought Ryder had died and gone to heaven! He loves it and I can still hear him in his room playing while I type this! I had such a fun day with Ryder today and LOVED being able to share his ENTIRE day with him.. Eric didn't get off work until 7 so Ryder and I went to San Jose to get some tacos.. thats what Ryder chose so thats where we went it was fun to spend alone time with him at a restaurant and just love on him ..Hes a pretty neat little guy!...Happy Birthday Ryder!

Tonight we all went out for Trevor's birthday.. He wanted to go to a Japanese Steakhouse where they cook in front of you. I was a little concerned.. I thought Ryder would either LOVE it or HATE it.. I was wrong.. It was a little bit of both! He stared in amazement for the first 10 minutes and then as soon as he lit the "onion volcano" on fire it was all down hill from there.. I think everyone in the restaurant heard him scream!! BUT it was alot of fun and the food was DELICIOUS!!!

*You are going through a spurt of sleeping with Mommy and Daddy around 3 am everyday... were going to have to work on this because were EXHAUSTED!

*You are talking more and more in sentences and are saying the funniest thing...your favorite thing to say is "Mommy that hurt me" ..you say that ALL the time regardless of how bad it "hurt" you

*You have started putting your face under the water in the bathtub and blowing bubbles

We went to watch Ryders Uncle Paul run a Triathalon at the YMCA last week and while we waited we got to play in their Splash Pad.. As you can see Ryder had a blast!

I told Ryder it was time to go, so of course he put his fingers in his ears and acted like he couldn't hear me! Atleast I got it as proof for when he's older!

Random Things...

Ryder and I had a date at Barnes a Noble the other night... It was a little overwhelming running around keeping him from throwing books on the floor, while he's yelling ALL sorts of things like "Mommy!! A MONKEY!!" "MOMMY A CHOO CHOO" "MOMMY A WITTLE GERL" he is just all about talking these days and non stop... They had a little train table set up and we were probably there for a good 45 minutes playing with the train.. he had a blast..

So I saw on another blog, their son was wearing this shirt! I SOOO need to buy this for Ryder because its OH so TRUE! :)

Today is my last day keeping my niece and nephew for the summer.. its been SOO much fun Ryder has had a blast with them and I am pretty sure that they have been having fun too! Yesterday we went for ice cream and I let each of them get a cone for themselves.. I know I'm pretty crazy but they ate it ALL and when I say ALL I mean ALL.. I had to peel the paper that is around the bottom of the cone off so they could finish it! They are soo cute! I just love them!

So yesterday was a very LOW key day... I had no plans and it was NICE! We met my mom for lunch at the mexican restaurant San Jose.. and there MIGHT be the cutest childrens boutique EVER next door :) WHAT A SHAME! ... well I happened to go over there and they were having a HUGE sale which I MIGHT have gotten an e-mail about earlier :) AND I said do you have anything on sale that has to do with golf because and as I started rambling about Ryders birthday party being at the golf course it was like the skies opened up and out from heaven came this outfit which I MAY or MAY NOT have bought! :) for.... $20!!!! I can't wait to get it monogrammed and get his birthday pictures taken in it!

Then we came home took a nap and played and danced in the rain :) Ryder LOVED it! He splashed in all the puddles, threw dirt, and tried to skip rocks.. we had to do a bath afterwards but he sure wasn't complaining!

He would say Ready, Set, GO GO GO GO and take off running

You think when he's 16 hes going to remember me being the coolest mom ever?!? I sure hope so!

Cow Appreciation Day

Amanda and I went out last night and got stuff to make the kids costumes for Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-a...while we were making them we decided we SOO needed to make us some too!! BY THE WAY you get freen combo meals if you dress head to toe like a cow.. and lets just say we SURE did!! Here are some fun pictures! The kids looked SOO cute!

I tried to make ears using my headband but it didn't really work...Ryder kept pulling them off.. so I thankfully had an extra cow hat that they had given him a few weeks back he was able to wear

Zoo Fun

Ryder and I haven't been to the zoo in about a month so we decided to go this morning.. maybe I should have checked the temperature because it was like 109 out there!! We were drenched in sweat after our 2 hour hike around the zoo! I just let Ryder walk now and don't even bother taking his stroller in because he just wants to get out and walk around! So I only carry a little backpack with the necessities in it! Thankfully my phone takes pretty good pictures and I was able to get a few!

HOWEVER I am SURE I almost had social services called on me while we were there... I had Ryder sitting on the fence in front of the elephants and we were talking and laughing and catching a break drinking some juice when all of a sudden Ryder looked at me with his devil gleam and throws his cup OVER the fence into the elephant pen... well I was NOT going to lose that cup and I better add it wasn't IN the elephant pen it was on that platform behind the fence in front of the drop off before you GET to the elephant pen.. well you BETTER believe I put Ryder over that fence and told him to go get that cup and if he even THOUGHT about getting off that platform, the elephants would eat him whole! Thats all it took. He brought me his cup in a hurry and climbed back over the fence.. (I also better add the fence came up to my shoulders so there was no way I could get over the fence and get it myself or I would have) Well so far so good.. were back home and the police haven't showed up yet!

July 4th

I sadly did not take 1 picture :( I ended up stealing one from my SIL just to have something to post! We went to Nana and Pa's and Ryder of course was in heaven. He rode the tracter about a million times, played in a pool and ate probably 5 pounds of fruit! We had alot of fun... we came home just in time to pick up dessert and head over to Amanda and Pauls for a cookout.. of course we all had alot of fun and I have to say Paul cooked some pretty good steak for us all! We watched fireworks which I was a little nervous about because Ryder HATES them.. BUT once he saw addison and caleb not crying he started to toughen up and actually enjoyed them by the end.. all in all we had a FABULOUS 4th of July! :)
